Service Request Restrictions

Once you have allowed clients to request services online, there are a number of additional restrictions designed to prevent last minute bookings and cancellations. Each option below has a link to a more detailed explanation and set of instructions on how to enable or disable the function.

Company Booking Restriction

Once you have allowed clients to book services through the client portal, you want to have some control over how late they request services, so you are not putting your schedule under extra pressure with last minute changes. 

To set a time limit to prevent late service requests:
  • Navigate to: Admin > Settings > Service Requests > Restrictions.
  • Select either "days before cut off time" or "hours before service start" and enter the number of hours or days. 
  • Select Update.




Set a Cut Off Time to Prevent Late Booking Requests

Once you have allowed clients to book services through the client portal, you want to have some control over how late they request services, so you are not putting your schedule under extra pressure with last minute changes. 

To set a time limit to prevent late service requests:
  • Navigate to: Admin > Settings > Service Requests > Restrictions.
  • Enter the time setting for Service Booking Cut Off Time.
  • Select Update.




Company Cancellation Restriction

Once you have allowed clients to book services through the client portal, you want to have some control over how late they cancel services, so you are not putting your schedule under extra pressure with last minute changes.

To set a time limit to prevent late service cancellations:
  • Navigate to: Admin > Settings > Service Requests > Restrictions.
  • Select either "days before cut off time" or "hours before service start" and enter the number of hours or days.
  • Select Update.

To set a time limit to prevent late service cancellations:
  • Navigate to: Admin > Settings > Service Requests > Restrictions.
  • Enter the time setting for Service cancellation Cut Off Time.
  • Select Update.




Customize Late Booking or Cancellation Message in the Portal

When a client attempts to request a service in the client portal after the service request time constraint, an error message will appear informing the client they are unable to request the service. Here you can personalize a message to explain how to contact your office to inquire about last minute availability. 

To set a time limit to prevent late service requests:
  • Navigate to: Admin > Settings > Service Requests > Restrictions.
  • Enter your message for the Booking Restriction and Cancellation Restriction Error Messages.
  • Select Update.
