The Schedule Stats Report, which provides a total value for all scheduled services in a date range, typically also displays a Pie Chart representation of the data. Occasionally, the graphs do not display.
Note: There are two reason why your graph is not displaying and each one has a different error message.
Error message 1: "Negative values are invalid for a pie chart."
Your Schedule Stats Report has an option to filter by Service Group. Each group must have a positive value for the graph to display. If any one Service Group has a negative value, the graph will not display and the error message "Negative value are invalid for a pie chart" is displayed.
How to remedy this:
- From the Report, click the Service Group with a negative value to reveal the Service Items that make up this group.
- Find the Service Item with a negative value which is causing the Service Group to have an overall negative value. This item needs to be moved to a different Service Group.
To change the Service Group associated with your service, do the following:
Navigation: Admin > Services > Service Items
- Choose the Service Item that is giving the negative result.
- Change the Service Group associated with this service, to one that always has positive revenue. Example: Your Walking group always has positive revenue of around $8,000 and your discount item usually has a negative value of around -$200. Putting your discount item in the Walking group ensures the overall revenue of the Walking group is always positive, so the graph can be displayed.
Error Message 2: "Cannot read 'Property' length of null" (Chrome) or "null is not an object (evaluating 'c.length')" (Safari) or there may be a blank area with no message.
When you view your Schedule Stats Report graphs won't display, the other reason is that you are probably using Chrome at a view other than "100%" or "actual size."
- Navigate to the "View Menu" in Chrome.
- Click "Actual Size."
- Click "Show Report" again in Pet Sitter Plus. Your graphs should be displayed.
- Once you can see the graphs, you can zoom in or out and they will now display.
This error only seems to happen once. After it's fixed, it doesn't happen again.
