Why Can't I Upload Photos on the Service Report?

When sitters are completing their Service reports to send to clients, Pet Sitter Plus enables them to include a photo with the report.

However, on an Android cell phone there are certain settings, both on the phone and in the Chrome app, that will ensure you can upload your photos and then save and send them to your clients.

This issue does not seem to affect the iPhone, unless you are experiencing poor network coverage. If you are experiencing issues with uploading on an iPhone it is likely to be for another reason, so please report it to Support Desk.

Step 1

Ensure you have an adequate network signal to connect your cell phone to.

Navigate to your phone's SETTINGS > MORE NETWORKS > MOBILE NETWORKS

Check the number of bars on the icon at the top of the phone screen.
If you are not sure your phone is connected to a network, in the "Data Usage", check your "Mobile Data" is checked or switched on.
In "Mobile Networks" you can also check that you are able to receive 3G, 4G and 5G signals. Anything before that will not work with Pet Sitter Plus.
If you are able to connect to WiFi, you should check this option is switched on.

Step 2

Check that the Browser App's Camera setting is switched to ON.

Navigate to your phone's SETTINGS > APPLICATIONS > APPLICATIONS MANAGER > CHROME App

Firstly, check which browser you are using to access PSP. Our top recommended browser is Chrome, as we rarely have any issues with accessing PSP using this browser, both on the mobile and desktop interfaces.

Note: If you are experiencing browser issues, change to Chrome before carrying out any further testing.

In the Settings, scroll down to the "Applications Manager" and select it.
In the Applications Manager, select the "Camera" app.
In the Camera settings, scroll down to "Permissions".
In the app permissions, check that the option for "Camera" is switched to ON.
