Help text provides opportunity to add your own guidance to Administrators & Staff and/or clients. Help text can be tailored to your business, explaining how to use a particular field and the type of information that should be added.
How Do I Add Help Text to Custom Fields?
Navigation: Admin > Custom Fields
Select the field you wish to add help text to by selecting the Page, Section and then the field.
- Enter your guidance/instructions into the Help Text box
- Click "Update"
Choose where the help text is to be displayed by selecting the following options in the "Help Text Displays In" drop down field.
- Admin Interface Only
- Client Portal Only
- Admin Interface & Client Portal
Click "Update" to save your changes.
Your help Text will then be displayed in your chosen interface. If your help text is displayed in the Client Portals, your clients can click the "i" icon to reveal your guidance/instruction.
