When a client sends in a Service Request from their portal, you can restrict the list of service items they can request to be relevant to the Pet Types they have registered in their portal.
Example:
- 30 Minute Dog Walk – Can be configured to apply only to Pet Type of "Dog".
- 30 Minute Cat Visit – Can be configured to apply only to Pet Type "Cat".
Categorizing your services by one or more Pet Type(s), also allows you to configure your system to enable Clients Requesting Services from within their Client Portal, will only be offered the Services that apply to the types of pet they have registered in their portal. Service Pet Types are also used in conjunction with Vaccination Flags when a client sends in a Service Requests.
Note: To restrict Service Items to Pet Types in the Client Portal, you will first need to assign Pet Types to each of your Service Items. Read Set Service Item Pet Types to learn how to do this.
How do I show only Services for a Client's Registered Pet Type?
Navigation: Admin > Settings > Service Requests > General
Toggle ON:
- "Only show services for pet types registered in client account."
- Click "Update."
Your Clients will now only be able to select Services that match their registered Pet Type. The example below shows the Services available for a "Dog" only.
