Edit Basic Service Item Settings

Once you've set up your service item, at some point you may want to make a change to it's name, or its basic description.

What is a service item?

A Service Item is a description and price for a service you provide, such as dog walk, pet sit, boarding, overnight, dog training, etc. Service items create your Schedule, Service Orders, and Invoices. A Service Item that is set for a time and date is assigned to a staff member to create the schedule.

Note: Only new orders will show the edited descriptions. Existing orders or invoices will still show the old description. The schedule will show the new descriptions.

How do I Edit a Service Item's basic details?

Navigation: Admin > Services > Service Items

Step 1

Click on the service item to edit.

Click in the "Short Description" to edit it. There is a 20 character limit.
Click in the "Long Description" to edit it. The client sees this, so make service description clear.
Click "Update."
