Set PayPal as Default for All Clients

Modified on Thu, 18 Jan 2024 at 07:38 PM

All clients can pay with PayPal Standard when you set the Default Payment Processor to PayPal Standard. Default sets all new clients added to the "Default" of PayPal. PayPal is an online money transfer system. Clients can pay their invoices using their PayPal balance, or a credit / debit card.

Tip: Some clients can use PayPal and others can use Stripe, depending on the client's preference.

Note: Setting a Payment Processor does not require a client to pay with that method, but it enables them to do so. Stripe and PayPal are exclusive, a client can only have one of those options set.

Can I Set PayPal as the Default Payment Method for All Clients?

Navigation: Connect > Payment Processors > Set Default

Step 1

  • Choose “PayPal Standard" for the Default option.
  • Click “Update.”

Note: "Default" sets all NEW clients from this point forward to have PayPal, but does not change previously set clients. See below to change previously coded clients.

Step 2

To set all existing clients to a Default Payment Processor of “PayPal Standard.”
  • Click “Change all clients to default setting on Update.”
  • Click “Update."
Note: Set All to Default: Using “Default” (see Step 1) only changes the Payment Processor to PayPal if it was previously “not set.” If some or all clients had their Payment Processor set to “Stripe,” you can change all clients to the new default using “Set all to Default.”

Note: PayPal needs to be enabled and connected to Pet Sitter Plus. If “PayPal” is not in your list of Payment Processors, contact us and we will enable it for you.
