Emailing your client a "Quote" provides the client with the price for the service(s) and is a Service Confirmation for the scheduled dates, as well as a reminder of services about to start.
More About Quotes
Once you have scheduled services in a service order, you have the option to send your client a quote. Quotes look like invoices but they are an estimate showing the dates and rates of scheduled services, but they cannot have payments receipted to them. Whereas Invoices are an actual bill for services that is owed now and can be paid.
Tip: You can email clients individually or use Bulk Invoicing to send many quotes at once.
How Do I Email a Quote to a Single Client?
Navigation: Clients > access a client's account > Orders & Invoices
Step 1
- View the quote by clicking the blue word "Quote."
Step 2
- Click "Email Quote" from the sub menu on the left.
- Select "Quote" email template from the dropdown, and edit if needed.
- Click "Email Quote."
Note: Sending a quote does not add a "balance due" on the client's account. The service order (quote) can be changed as needed. When it is time for the client to pay, you'll create an invoice for them.
