Sometimes a client or an admin may need to change all or some services in the schedule scheduled. You can remove a service from a Service Order and the Schedule in either of 3 ways:

- How Do I Cancel a Service in Calendar View?
- How Do I Void a Service in Calendar View?
- How Do I Delete a Service in Calendar View?
Tip: There are differences between Delete and Void / Cancel:
- Void / Cancel leave the service in the system as "greyed out" for record keeping,
- Delete removes the service completely.
Client Services in Calendar Split View can be cancelled, voided or deleted by accessing the client service order from within Calendar View.
How Do I Cancel a Service in Calendar Split View?
Navigation: Scheduler > Admin Schedules > Calendar Split View
Services can be cancelled from Calendar Split View in a couple of easy steps...
- Select the service you wish to cancel
- From the Edit Services page, click "Order" to access the clients service order
- Select the Service or Services you wish to cancel
- Click "Cancel"
- Your service or services have now been cancelled on the Clients Order, Schedule and Staff Schedules.
Note: Services that are cancelled:
- Remain in the service order, "greyed out," to distinguish them from scheduled services.
- Are set to zero client charge (unless edited).
- Are removed from administrator and staff schedules. To show cancelled services in your schedule, see Show Cancelled Services in the Schedules
- Can be viewed on the Administrator schedules by selecting "Cancelled Services Only" from the first dropdown on the Schedule.
- Remain on client quotes and invoices, marked "cancelled", as a record of the transaction.
- Remain on Staff Pay Reports with zero amount, unless edited. (see How do I Edit a Single Service on an Order?).
How Do I Void a Service in Calendar Split View?
Navigation: Scheduler > Admin Schedules > Calendar Split View
Voiding Services should be used to correct scheduling errors. For example, you scheduled services for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, but the client did not want the Wednesday service, so you would go ahead and "Void" the Wednesday service.
Services can be cancelled from Calendar Split View in a couple of easy steps...
- Select the service you wish to Void
- From the Edit Services page, click "Order" to access the clients service order
- Select the Service or Services you wish to void
- Click "Void"
- Your service or services have now been Voided on the Clients Order, Schedule and Staff Schedules.
Note: Services that are voided:
- Remain on service orders "greyed out" and marked "Void" to distinguish them from scheduled services.
- Are removed from Administrator and Staff schedules so that the work does not get carried out
- Are removed from quotes and invoices (the client does not need to see scheduling errors).
- Are removed from staff compensation reports (your staff do not need to see scheduling errors)
Tip: Voided services can be re-instated if they were voided in error. In the Client's service order, simply re-select the voided service and click "Void" again and this will re-instate the service onto the clients service order and schedules.
How Do I Delete a Service in Calendar Split View?
Navigation: Scheduler > Admin Schedules > Calendar Split View
Delete should only be used for scheduling errors. For example, a client needs a walk every Monday and Tuesday throughout June. You schedule every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (by mistake), it is easiest to delete all the services scheduled for Wednesdays, as you don't need a record on that error.
Services can be cancelled from Calendar Split View in a couple of easy steps...
- Select the service you wish to Void
- From the Edit Services page, click "Order" to access the clients service order
- Select the Service or Services you wish to delete.
- Click "Delete"
- Your service or services have now been Deleted on the Clients Order, Schedule and Staff Schedules.
Important: Use "Delete" with care. Unlike voided or cancelled items, deleted items may not be re-instated. They are permanently removed from your system
- As a safeguard against accidental deletions, a warning will appear that requires you to to confirm your deletion by clicking a second "delete" button.
- As an additional safeguard, if the date of a service is in the past, or a service has been invoiced, then the service cannot be deleted without being voided or canceled first.
Note: Services that are deleted are completely removed from:
- Service Orders and cannot be reinstated.
- Administrator and Staff schedules so that the work does not get carried out.
- Client Quotes and Invoices
- Staff Pay Reports
