Connect your Email using SMTP (Part 1)

This article explains how you can connect your business or personal email account to Pet Sitter Plus using SMTP.

IMPORTANT: Once you have read this article and followed the steps below, you will also need to follow Part 2 in order to complete the set up so SMTP integration will work.

Tip: Gmail and Gsuite email accounts can be connected direct using our Google option. See Connect your Email using Google and Gmail for instructions on how to do this.

How do I send emails via SMTP from my business or personal email account?

Navigation: Admin > Settings > Email Settings > Email Options

IMPORTANT: SMTP will NOT WORK unless this option is switched ON.
  • Toggle "Send Email From Your Own Account" to ON.
  • Click "Update."

Tip: You can switch this option “OFF” again at any time if you no longer wish to use SMTP for sending your emails. You will not need to delete any of the other information in the Email Configuration screen.
