Why use SMTP, Google or Microsoft for Sending Emails?

Modified on Thu, 12 Sep at 10:34 AM

SMTP , Google or Microsoft provides a method by which an application (such as Pet Sitter Plus) can send emails via your personal or your business email service.

Google, Microsoft and most email providers, support connecting in this way, but you will need to confirm that your email provider supports SMTP so you can connect your Pet Sitter Plus account with your personal or your business email service.

Once you have configured SMTPGoogle, or Microsoft you will have more email options available to you, for example you will be able to send emails for the purpose of marketing or general communication via your business or personal email.

Most email services support SMTP (which stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol).

Tip: You can connect your Gmail/GSuite or Microsoft email account without using SMTP. See Connect your Email using Gmail/Google or Connect your Email using Microsoft for instructions on how to do this.

Tip: Connecting your Personal or Business Email to Pet Sitter Plus by SMTP, Google or Microsoft provides enhanced functionality. You will be able to bulk email your Clients from the Client Search page as well as bulk email from the Vaccinations Report and Pet Birthday Reports. You will also be able to bulk email your staff.
